Do you know the REAL you?
As much as we exclaim what we want, how well do we really know ourselves? Every day our faith and judgment is tested riding out this journey through life. We are constantly influenced by family, friends, environments and especially social media.
What does it mean to be you?
When do you feel the most freedom without the pressure of outside judgment?
I spent many years battling personality traits I desperately wanted to make my own. Countless moments wavering on my morals and values only to find myself disgusted with my weaknesses. I allowed my peers, family and the media pressure me out of my beliefs before. Numerous times I found myself failing to be the real me, which ultimately made me realize who I really am.
The beauty of experiencing life with other people has molded me into me. Men and women around the world helped me know myself more than I personally could.
When you truly know yourself joy is right around the corner. Happiness and self-love are deep in your heart. Regardless of the obstacle or evil in your way, knowing yourself keeps you strong and confident.
How can we conquer our battles without a foundation built by us? Spend time, every day, getting to know yourself a little deeper. There is so much noise around us and we rarely join silence and focus on what we truly want. Couple that time developing a spiritual connection to God, or your preferred spiritual preference. Stay consistent in the journey of knowing yourself because the road always gets shaky.
This is your battle.
This is your Crusade.
